QUALIFICATIONS

  1. A maximum of two (2) teams are allowed to join per school. Schools with multiple autonomous campuses or branches are only allowed up to two (2) teams per campus or branch to join.
  2. Each team shall be composed of three (3) students and one (1) alternate from the same school. The student must be currently enrolled in the school. They can be from any year level, but it is recommended that they are in their senior years (Grades 11 & 12) due to the topics included in the competition.
  3. A maximum of two (2) coaches are allowed per school.
    1. The coaches must be bonafide faculty members of the same school the students of the team are enrolled in.
    2. Coaches are allowed to register for more than one team in their school.
  4. Letters of certification of the coaches' and participants' qualifications from the principal of their respective schools shall be submitted on or before the registration period on the day of the competition, November 4, 2019.

DETAILS

  1. Only the first 150 participants to register will be able to reserve a slot. Participants who were able to register before the cutoff will receive an email and/or text regarding the confirmation of their slot. Walk-ins will be entertained during the registration period on November 9, 2018 in case confirmed participants will not be able to attend.
  2. Early bird registration will be accepted until October 5, 2018. Registration fee per participant is Php 250 for regular, Php 225 for early birds, and Php 300 for walk-ins which may be paid during the registration period on November 9, 2018.

Teams and Student Eligibility

  • Each team may be made up of one, two, or three student Team Members. All participating Team Members must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in the field of electrical and electronics engineering.
  • Eligibility may be verified at any time by the organizers; decisions concerning eligibility made by the Organizers are final. A student may only participate in one Team. Teams may edit their Member information by emailing the Organizers until two weeks before the competition.
  • Team Leaders
    • Each team shall be supervised by one Team Leader who is currently a faculty member of the participating university under the university’s respective Electrical and Electronics Engineering department or institute. While the student Team Members are required to do the work involved in their project proposals, the role of the Team Leader is to help the students manage their project. An individual may serve as Team Leader for more than one team.
    • The Team Leader is responsible for registering the Team, obtaining any additional information about Team Members as required by the organizers, providing overall guidance to the Team, submitting the Team’s entry by uploading the properly formatted document through email, and facilitating the distribution of prizes.
